Included:  mind-boggling arrays of dials and switches, from ships, cars, aircraft, spacecraft, trains, airships, and the batmobile.

(okay, not a Hollywood Screen, but dashboards and instrument panels are the original GUI)

The gesture computer interface from Minority Report

Wired’s GeekDad blog gave mention to the gesture computer interface from Minority Report in their post, “The 10 Most Useful Gadgets from Science Fiction and Comics.”

Was there any geek who saw this film who didn’t feel a bit disappointed when he came home and sat down at his gesture-ignoring computer? The interface was seriously cool, and, unlike many (if not most) futuristic computer interfaces in movies, actually seemed like it might be usable.
